I had to give a talk about the usefulness of the iPad in medicine and decided to bite the bullet and use my iPad rather than the usual laptop+PowerPoint affair. I created the slides in Keynote on my MacPro and saved to my iDisk then opened in Keynote on the iPad. Once plugged into the [...]

Apple Keynote app on iPad seems to miss the mark

June 20th, 2011 · No Comments · Apple Keynote, iPad, Things to avoid, Uncategorized

As an avid Keynote user on the Mac, like others I was excited to have Keynote for the iPad. Keynote is better than PowerPoint:
Any thoughts/contributions?

September 21st, 2009 · 2 Comments · Apple Keynote, Bad PowerPoint, Great design

Lots of people reading about saving PPT as JPEGs, how to end a PPT talk but no comments yet! Come on, I am sure someone must have something to contribute! PowerPoint is bad/good – Keynote is much better (it really is). Or let me know if there’s anything you want me to cover here – [...]

June 30th, 2009 · No Comments · Apple Keynote, Handouts, PowerPoint

If you are uncomfortable simply using a black slide at the end of your talk, why not advertise your email address? This means you don’t have to hand out your business cards! Instead, the audience can jot down your address and contact you if thety have any further questions they want to ask you. I [...]

Using PowerPoint & Keynote
together for stunning presentations
